Kind World

December 14, 2019

Happy Saturday,

The holidays are almost here! Have you finished your shopping? We're sure Santa's already hard at work, and some of his helpers south of the North Pole are already showing their Christmas spirit, like this man who helps answer calls for Santa and this animal shelter giving pets a holiday treat. How are you spreading cheer this holiday season?

Andrea's Pick Of The Week: 10 Acts Of Kindness By Strangers Around The World
Traveling is super fun, but at times, it can be super stressful, so a small but significant act of kindness can make all the difference during a bad day abroad. Check out this collection of stories from National Geographic that brought a smile to my face this week.

Yasmin's Pick Of The Week: Lovers In Auschwitz, Reunited 72 Years Later
I can’t resist a good love story – and this one from The New York Times is extraordinary. When David Wisnia reunited with his former girlfriend, Helen Spitzer, he finally asked her something that’s been on his mind: did you help me survive?

Every day, even if I have a really bad day, I still focus on knowing that I can change someone's life.

Classic Kind World

'Take Me Back To Venice' As Parkinson’s disease worsened for Bernard Michaels, his family took him on a final trip to Europe. Early in the trip, a slip in Venice, Italy landed him in the hospital. His daughter, Sonia, set out with a collapsible wheelchair to meet him, but seventeen staired footbridges, slick with rain, stood between them. Fortunately, others took notice.
