Volunteer(s) Needed

We need a little help. Specifically, we need a volunteer or two who can help pack and move boxes of books on Tuesday mornings. Lots of boxes. Most weeks, we take in a few dozen boxes of donated books, and we send out almost as many. Each box typically weighs about 35 lbs. Maybe you need a little exercise? Here is an opportunity to get a free weekly workout that also helps us fund important library programs. This involves packing up boxes, stacking them, and moving them around on wheeled carts. You might also manage the shipping process, and help with deliveries to and from regional libraries. Best of all, you get to work with the award-winning team of volunteers at the Friends of Durham Library.
