Holiday Concert

Join us on December 19th for our collaborative concert of holiday music by the Evanston Civic Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Matthew Mainella, and the Evanston Civic Chorus, under the direction of Nathan Baxter. The music will appeal to family members of all ages with favorites such as "The Nutcracker" and "Jingle Bells." While the orchestra and chorus are the main groups involved in the concert, they are excited to join in a couple of pieces with community members outside their organizations. Michelle Kallas, Uinta County Library Children's Librarian, will be featured with the orchestra as guest narrator in a special performance of "Twas the Night Before Christmas," while audition choirs from both EMS and DMS will join the chorus in a stirring performance of "Ave Maria."

This free concert will be held at Davis Middle School, starting at 7:00 pm on the 19th. Refreshments will be served after the performance.

ECOC High School Scholarship

To express gratitude for a local young musician's dedication to their craft and to their local musical community, ECOC offers a $500 scholarship to one graduating high school senior each spring in order to encourage their continuance in pursuit of professional education and artistic fulfillment.
