Annual Meeting Highlights
The Annual HOA Meeting was held on December 9 at 7:00 pm at the Lenexa Public Market. Board members in attendance were: Martha, Judy, Denise, Janet, Kevin, and Treka.
We would like to welcome two new members
of the HOA Board: Ashley Shadel, Social Committee Chair, and
Tom Tomlinson, 1st Vice President.
The board members and present residents discussed some of the following projects: Retaining Wall; Pool House Painting and Furniture; Handrails for pool and painting of the adult and baby pools; Trash Service Increase; and the Pool Landscaping. Please check your email inbox for additional notes taken during the meeting.

Heartfelt Thanks from Karen!
To all who made the children's Christmas party on December 7 at the Soup Kitchen such a success and to those who were volunteers to help: Thank You! Any of the gifts that were left were given to the policemen/firemen children's party on a following Saturday in December. Thank you, again, for all your kindness!
SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES
Movie Night for the Ladies of BWP
Tuesday, January 28: The group will meet at Minsky's on Midland Road at 5:00 pm for a bite to eat. Following dinner, the group will head over to the B&B theater; Karen will have a list of movies that the group can see. This is an annual event.

ARCHITECTURE
Just as a reminder, when considering any exterior projects, please contact Kevin Knipp at kevin.knipp@gmail.com. The project must be approved before the work has begun. This includes new roofs, painting the exterior of your home (even if it is the same color choice) and any project for the outside of your home. We want to ensure that the work aligns with the bylaws. To review the bylaws, please visit our website or email one of the Board Members.
ADVERTISE WITH US!
BWP Residents' children can advertise their services in the monthly newsletter free of charge. We will have a section with the child's name, contact info, and services offered (ie: mowing, babysitting, etc.) If a more extensive ad is wanted, a regular ad (see below) can be purchased. Our regular advertising will continue to be offered. If you have a business or service that you wish to advertise to our neighborhood, please consider using our newsletter as the advertising avenue. The BWP resident costs are quite low and will reach all of our BWP residents.
Payments should be made to "Brookwood Place Homes Association" and mailed to our address: PO Box 15372, Lenexa, KS 66285. Send the ad to the BWP email address, bwplenexa@gmail.com. Prices for the ad are as follows:
1/4 of a page ad $10 | 1/2 page ad $20 | Full page ad $25
