Want to play MHL1 in 2020?
But your Club has no team at that level?
At the Brisbane Masters' Planning Day meeting a few weeks ago the Masters' Committee voted for the option to have 6 teams in MHL1 division for 2020.
Currently there are only 5 Clubs who have proposed a MHL1 team.
To make the 6th team, the committee is seeking nominations from players who wish to play MHL1 from the Clubs who don't have a MHL1 team nominated.
NOTE: For this to happen players MUST nominate urgently.
The season starts early March and there will be much to do to ensure this "Barbarians" MHL1 team can proceed – without having an adverse effect on MHL2 teams and Clubs.

Database player position choice changes
One of the changes to the database is the way you can nominate your preferred position/s on the field.

GK = Goalkeeper
FB = Fullback
WH = Wing Half. (Left & Right Halfback).
MF = Midfield. (Centre Half; Inside Left & Inside Right).

Interested in playing CHL?
The Classic Hockey League (CHL) is the men's grass competition for all ages (run by the BHA).
Season runs from March to September each year.
Clubs in the existing competition include: Commercial / Norths / Pine Hills / Qld Uni / Valley.
Fixtures are always on Saturday at either 1:30pm or 3pm.
This allows players (along with their families) to plan their weekends more easily.
This CHL recruitment campaign is to encourage new players and new Clubs to participate in 2020.
As such, this is the first time of gathering a list of existing players and potential new players to the competition and will continue into 2020.
If playing a game, enjoying a beverage in a family environment on natural grass is for you, please register your interest.
All players, abilities and ages welcome.
Games are usually played at Finsbury Park, Shaw Park, Dorrington Park; or Pine Hills' home ground.
Membership fees vary from club to club, however as a general guide the cost for CHL is approx $450 for the season. Discounts for students.
Please email Rob Jones HockeyCHLinfo@gmail.com to register your interest or if you have any queries.
