Dear Reader:

We take this opportunity at the end of the year to thank all of our contributors and readers for their interest in helping us spread the good news about Jesuit higher education. It is a pleasure hearing from you and promoting your concerns. It is also a pleasure to send our bi-monthly coverage of programs and events from around the globe. We share each of these stories and events with the hope and expectation that they will increase our sense of community and our dedication to this important work.

May the coming New Year bring each of you and your work God’s abundant blessings!

Sincerely,
Ignacio Garrido Cruz

Non-State Actors Collaborating for Climate Action

Ecojesuit at COP25 Conference
English.
We are inmersed in climate emergency and while recognizing that personal and community action are fundamental, we cannot be effective alone, as we are all tied into the global problem. Unless we can engage the political and market forces of this global world, we cannot get the necessary change. In this context, Ecojesuits was created in 2010 as a research and advocacy group to understand the universal importance of engaging in ecological concerns and the need for reconciliation with creation.

Ecojesuit has been present in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP25) that has taken place in Madrid during the month of December. In this global gathering Ecojesuit representatives have been working to seek greater collaboration amongst social action groups, networks for change, and faith-based organizations.
