Holiday Party Invitation from the Schrocks
All are welcome to Missy and John Schrock's home for a holiday party on Friday evening, December 27. General festivities will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the real action will begin at 8:00 p.m. when the Holiday Bowl kicks off (Iowa v. USC). Bring goodies to share and games to play. Let
John or
Missy know if you plan to come.
Volunteer Needed
Berkey needs a new Everence advocate to replace Phil Bauman who has served in this role for the past several years. The Everence advocate coordinates with the Agape committee to provide financial assistance to members in need and provide information about Everence services to the congregation.
Contact John Schrock to learn more.
Holiday Office Hours
Next week, the office will be open on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The office will be closed on New Year's Day.
May you continue to experience God's peace and joy throughout the holiday season.
Berkey Meat Canning Day
Mennonite Central Committee's Mobile Meat Canner will be in Goshen, at the Depot, January 7 - 17. Berkey's assigned day to help is January 15, 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. We will be canning turkey this year and will need help all day. The starting time of 7:00 a.m. is somewhat critical, please come early if possible. If this day does not work for you, you are welcome to help any day that the meat canner is here. Questions? Contact our Mission Commission Co-chairs,
Darin Short and
Jenny Miller or
Pastor Joanne Gallardo.
New Feature in Berkey's Church Directory
A new feature in our church directory allows you to submit an update to your address, photo, email or phone for church approval right from your PC or other electronic device. After logging in on your PC, look for the "Edit My Family" link at the top of the page and follow the prompts. Using the Android and Apple apps, you will find the edit option in the menu (look for the 3 line menu icon). Please allow up to one week for your submissions to be approved. If you are not in the directory or have questions about your account,
contact Jenny Hooley in the office.
First Aid Kit
Berkey now has a first aid kit, located in the hallway between the men and women's bathrooms. The kit contains over 900 essential medical supplies including eyewash, antiseptic spray, burn spray, antiseptic wipes, alcohol prep pads, antibiotic ointment, ammonia wipes, bandages and much more. If you need to use the tweezers or scissors, we ask that you sterilize them before returning them to the cabinet.
