Dear Sangha,
Today here in Dharamsala India, it is Christmas Eve and I have desires to write a holiday greetings to you. In Dharamsala, there is an ancient church from the British time. This church has a long history. There was a huge earthquake around the year 1904 which damaged many buildings, however, luckily this church stayed intact.
Tomorrow on Christmas day, I plan to attend their Christmas Mass and I am looking forward to it. I will take some pictures and will post it on my Facebook.
Some of you may know about the Philadelphia sangha’s recent pilgrimage to India’s holy sites. Amid the long drives, bad pollution and chaos, Soo Kyong and I truly had a lovely and a meaningful pilgrimage with our sangha. After the pilgrimage, I stayed in India longer to spend time with my precious teacher who is now 84 and with his brother, Namgyal la who is 86. His Holiness the Dalai Lama is at the moment visiting southern India, so therefore Dharamsala is quiet and we are having very good weather.
Even though I am physically in Dharamsala, each one of you are in my thoughts during this holiday season. Wishing you and your family peace, joy and a meaningful holiday season and all the best in the New Year!
Happy Holidays!
Much Love, Losang
