Dear Friends and Partners,
Dec. 3rd we launched the fundraising phase for the “Patience of Job” صبر أيوب SHORT FILM in Arabic. Until now, we have been talking with partners, researching, learning, writing a screenplay, planning and praying. And this month we felt it was time to begin raising funds. We do not enter into this lightly. We truly have to believe in something very strongly before we ask our partners and donors for support.
So why is the story of Job important?
- Suffering is real!
- It is a great classic story with compelling characters and interesting dialogue!
- Job was from the Middle East (the Land of Uz).
- Provides some answers for long standing questions like, “Why is there suffering?”
- Arab Christians & Muslims are highly aware of Job’s patience but not always the narrative behind it.
- Shows that God cares, God knows and God is in control of everything.
