The Shadybrook Board of Trustees
Announces Winds of Change
The members of the Shadybrook Board of Trustees and Staff wish to extend our great appreciation to Elzi Fincun as our current Director of Programs and Operations.  We are sad to announce that Elzi is moving on to another job opportunity, yet we're happy and proud for her at the same time.  As Elzi follows her own journey within, we wish her well in her next position.

Elzi began her affiliation with Shadybrook in the fall of 2018 as one of our Spa Day presenters. To our good fortune, Elzi began her work with Shadybrook in the spring of 2019 creating our new website.  Her interest and passion for Shadybrook's mission and programming made her an obvious candidate for the position of Director of Programs and Operation, and she accepted it in July 2019.  In six short months, Elzi has completed the new website, established regular office hours, configured programming into a seasonal format, and reached out to new speakers and instructors. Thanks to Elzi’s vision and creative design, Shadybrook now offers a quarterly catalog of programs and activities for its members and the community at large.  Our presence on social media has been invigorated. As a result of her leadership, Shadybrook has enjoyed the most active autumn season it has seen in over thirty years.

With her warm and welcoming presence, Elzi has strengthened friendly communication among members and participants, staff, and board members. Perhaps most importantly, Elzi graced Shadybrook with her enthusiasm, humor, and buoyant hope at a time when it best served our historic organization.

We are very happy to say Elzi isn't going anywhere. She will continue to be an important part of Shadybrook.  She’ll serve as a consultant for Shadybrook for a while and return as an instructor in the months to come.  We are deeply grateful, Elzi, and look forward to what lies ahead.

Would you, or someone you know, like to join Shadybrook's Leadership Team?
