Dear Parents, 

As Gan and Bnos Aliya parents, we enjoy the privilege of watching our children grow as independent, joyful, and engaged learners. We regularly observe the dramatic benefits of self-paced, active learning, and individualized lesson plans. As blessed beneficiaries of a unique educational approach, we believe we should give special priority to our schools when we allocate our yearly charitable donations. We ask fellow parents or grandparents to join us in helping our schools cover their expenses, grow, and succeed in their educational mission.  

Not surprisingly, our schools' differential advantage requires substantial financial resources. The educational model relies on costly investments, such as an elite and Montessori-trained staff, specialized and often hand-made work materials and expert consultants. While we are, baruch Hashem, a growing school, we do not yet benefit from an economy of scale or own a facility.

This year’s budget is particularly robust, as Gan and Bnos have expanded with the addition of two divisions, Toddler and Upper Elementary. To accommodate this growth, our two biggest expenses, rent and salaries, have grown significantly. The schools now employ fourteen staff members and three educational consultants.

We are asking every family to make a tax-deductible donation or pledge by December 31, 2019. You may make a gift in any of the following ways:

• Send a check made out to “Gan Aliya” to 126 East 56th Street, Floor 10, NY, NY 10022. Donations intended for Bnos Aliya are still made out to “Gan Aliya.”
