MISSIONARY BOOK REACHES
NINE FAMILY MEMBERS

By Super Moesi | Madagascar

Juliet was raised a Muslim on the island of Madagascar off the coast of East Africa. She married Rafu, a fellow Muslim. Life was normal until one day she received a missionary book, Mark Finley's When God Said Remember, in Malagasy, the local language. She finished reading the book in three days.

The book opened Juliet to a new world of Sabbath rest and spending time with her new-found Creator. Without hesitation, Juliet went to her work place to ask her employer to allow her to keep the Sabbath. She was informed that she could not have both the Sabbath and her job. Her employer reminded her that Madagascar had one of the highest unemployment rates in the area. Juliet had to make a choice. She chose to keep the Sabbath instead of her job.

One day Rafu noticed that Juliet wasn't going to work. “Why aren't you going to work?," he asked.

“I read a book,” she responded.

He asked to read the book, intending to convince his wife to disregard the Sabbath and go back to work. But Rafu had the same experience as his wife. He, too, quit his job to keep the Sabbath. Today Juliet and Rafu are both happily baptized members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Not only that, but they work as full-time literature evangelists (LEs) spreading God's Word to the many people they encounter. They are champion LEs in their home field of Madagascar.

The same book they read has been circulating among their family, which has led nine family members to join the Adventist Church. What a mighty God we serve!
