In case you didn't see the announcement a couple of weeks ago...
The Ramona Class of '70 50-year reunion will be
the weekend of September 18-20, 2020!
Looking at the calendar, that is almost exactly nine months from now. We've been doing some prep work to locate as many classmates as possible, and thanks to responses to an earlier email we've been able to update or verify current contact information for 75 alumni, including some just recently found through online sleuthing or word of mouth.
But before we get too deep into making firm commitments and signing contracts for our big reunion weekend next year, I thought it would be a good idea to ask you what you want (or don't want) at our next reunion, including whether you even want to attend (or not). I've put together a survey that includes questions like:
- How likely are you to attend reunion events that weekend?
- What factors influence why you wouldn't attend this reunion?
- What types of events should we plan for that weekend?
- Mindful of our age and and financial means, what are your priorities for various amenities (food, drink, music, etc.) at the main reunion event?
- What is a reasonable ticket price range for the main reunion event?
- Can you recommend a venue for our main reunion event?
As we've done that past couple of reunions, we've scheduled the 50-year reunion weekend to coincide with Ramona's Homecoming game, and by coincidence in 2020 that just happens to be the Ramona vs Poly game. There are a few questions in the survey asking to what extent, if any, we might want to invite Poly Class of '70 friends we knew growing up in Riverside (elementary/junior high school, sports, church, scouts, etc.) to participate in our informal events.
