California Eliminates Single Family Zoning
To address the housing crisis, California recently signed into law Assembly Bill 68 (AB 68), which incentivizes the creation of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU), also known as in-law units or granny flats on single-family lots. Under AB 68, homeowners who apply to build ADU's can also apply to build a second, junior ADU on their property, which is the functional equivalent of statewide triplex zoning. The units do not have to be owner occupied. This opens up all kinds of new possibilities for California homeowners. To learn more about how you can benefit, please ask me.
