ISMA
HOLIDAY PARTY
CHANGES!

1)  First, let me say I am overwhelmed by all the interest in the number of students and their family members who wish to help ISMA celebrate at our annual holiday party this coming Monday... However, there was such an overwhelming response to the eVite that unfortunately, with 116 RSVP's we grew extremely too large of a group for the space we are in.

I have tried to weigh other options, like moving the party to another venue, but along with the JF staff, we just couldn't make any of those other options happen in such a short time frame... so I am sorry to say, with 56 students attending, I have to limit attendance to only ISMA students - No siblings, No parents, No extended family members. I apologize for the inconvenience if you are having to make major adjustments to your evening plans. In addition to our springtime Friday Night Sundae party, I may look at bringing back the ISMA Fall Family Picnic as another ISMA Family event next year.

So... Parents, please bring your ISMA student and drop them and your potluck item off for the party and then enjoy 2 hours of extra personal time to do whatever you need to do - shop, go out to dinner, or just read a good book. Just don't forget to come back and pick them up between 7:30-8 pm. :-)

The only exception to this, only ISMA students in attendance, change would be if I have any students who have life threatening food allergies and they are unable to make sensible edible choices on their own. If this is your child, please have one parent come to oversee their dinner selections as we don't want any medical emergencies to occur.

2)  The second change is the event will still have 8 table top games, but instead of one large tournament per game - there will be mini (4 person) tournaments instead.

3)   To minimize the number of potential new stains on the carpet, please do not bring any sodas, punch, tea, or additional drink items other than water. I have cups for the water faucets and there is a water fountain at JF. If filtered water is preferred, please have the ISMA student bring their own filled water bottle.

Even with the changes, I anticipate a fun filled event. Look forward to seeing all 56 students in attendance. And, No.. students need not wear their uniforms to this event.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you for your understanding and as always, your support of ISMA.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns... please contact me. ISMA is not just a "rec center class". For over 22 years it has been a family, my life, and my livelihood.

Because I teach 5 days a week, have two other specialty businesses, and a part-time job... email is the best way to get a complete detailed response to a question.
