ACTING ACADEMY
Details! Location! This week in Acting Academy, we focused on adding details to make our lines more interesting for the audience. We also practiced setting up a specific location in our silent restaurtant scene, which allowed the audience to know exactly where we are and when our scene takes place. We then performed a slapstick comedy routine about Reggie who is in LOVE with the restaurant owner's daughter! Ask your child if Reggie had the nerve to ask her out on a date!
LOWER PRIMARY
This week in Lower Primary, we showed what it means to work as a team! From bouncing imaginary basketballs to coming across a wandering herd of cows, we practiced using both slow and steady movements, then sudden, irregular movements. Then we got ready for the family cookout. Timothy chomped down on his corn of the cob a little too hard and lost his tooth! Ask your child what happened to Timothy's tooth!
UPPER PRIMARY
This week in Upper Primary, we continued our preparations for our upcoming Parent Presentation by reviewing all of the sections of our noisy office themed Verbal Dynamics piece. Through this speech activity, we practiced our articulation, character expression, and how to react to actions on stage! We then took all of that energy and poured it into our partner scripted scene entitled "Switch Over" in which both characters are arguing over which television show to watch. Ask your child about their favorite television show and if they won the debate on whose show was best!
