SEE WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MADE POSSIBLE FOR OUR SPONSORED STUDENTS AND ALL WHO CAME TO KIWOCE (the Kilimahewa Women and Orphans Center for Education) IN 2019.

This year's graduates! Above from left to right: Florian and Ally earned their BA degrees in Education; Deus a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Studies; and Vainess a Diploma in Nursing.  Kelvin and Mary, who both earned Certificates from Kilacha Agriculture Training Institute, performed so well that they are continuing for another year to the Diploma level. (Mary M., who manages the sponsorship program, is in the middle).
Over 100 students, who completed local primary schools in September, came to KIWOCE's (Kilimahewa)  "Pre-Form 1" program to prepare for secondary school in January.  This record attendance demonstrates the community's growing awareness of the Center's affordable programs, whose quality exceeds even that of expensive private schools and institutions.   No other school serves the poor and disenfranchised this way.  Our mission remains: convincing the community that education matters and bringing the best level of education to those who can least afford it.
Erast talking to villagers about how KIWOCE (Kilimahewa) can help all to learn more skills.
A villager looks at KIWOCE's information.  School staff, Frank and Erast, have worked hard, going into all neighborhoods to spread the word that area youth DO HAVE a place where they can progress beyond expectations.  No one should be written off at 13!
A local mama reads the KIWOCE flyer about the Center's programs and facilities for post-primary youth, young adults and even themselves!
KIWOCE's Boys and Girls Club for local teens invited neigborhood Primary School "Leavers" (graduates) to enjoy a day of learning and games at the Center.  Here they are on the recreational field funded by the Northfield Community Church in 2017.
2019 BY THE NUMBERS:
