Thank you and happy Christmas!
 Thank you for supporting Southend Foodbank in 2019.
The update will return in January 2020, with all the end of year figures, thank yous and news for the year ahead. Until then, we wish you a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
The foodbank distribution sessions will be closed only on the bank holidays: December 25th (Ferndale and Kings Road), December 26th (Shoebury) and January 1st (Ferndale and Kings Road). All other distribution centre sessions will run as normal southend.foodbank.org.uk/get-help/
Please note that the warehouse will be closed to the public from midday 23rd December until 9.30am Monday 30th and then closed again until Thursday 2nd January. However, if possible, please wait until Monday 6th January before bringing in any more donations. We have been extra busy, both with food being brought to the foodbank but also with food being sent out to exceptionally busy distribution centres. The priority has to be making sure we get food boxes to where they need to be, despite the double challenge of more people needing help at the moment and, with the bank holiday closures, fewer days in which to do it. We’re grateful for all donations but waiting and giving in January will really help.
