Today is your last day to do children's crafts at Art Reach from 2-3

CCAC member, Linda Thompson will have her art work on display at Roz's Diner in Rosebush during the month of January. Check it out.

CCAC members, Liz McQueen, Linda Thompson, Bob and Linda Guiliani will have their art work display in Isabella County at Commission on Aging, Mid Michigan Health, Veteran's Library and McLaren Hospital during the 2020 year. This is through Art Reach.   


CCAC appreciates your support throughout the year. Your $10 dues helps CCAC bring cultural events to the County. This past year, CCAC had the Quilt Show, Spooktacular Craft Show, The Art of Gardening and the Quilt Trail tour. We offered classes in wire art and mixed media.  The Lower Level Gallery and the "Sampling of Art" were started at the Depot. Your dues can be sent to CCAC, P O Box 412, Clare, Michigan 48617.

We are in the process of setting our schedule for next year. Let me know if you have an idea you wish to bring to the Board.

Terpening School of Music
Will begin their winter term on January 6 starting at 3:30. the cost is $75 for 10 weeks. The class is open to children in the Mid Michigan area grades k-6.  

Local Author to speak
JuliAnne Sisung is a local author of small town historical fiction. She will be discussing Idlewood Series which takes place in Idlewood, Michigan on January 14 at 6:00 pm at the Pere Marquette Library. She will be at the Harrison District Library on noon on January 14. Reservations are required for the Harrison location. 

Ring of Steel/Game of Thrones
Professional stunt fighters will come in full Game of Thrones themed costumes and show you how people used to fihgt back in medieval times. After the show, weapons and armor will be on display for you to view. This is recommend for people 8 and older. It will take place at 10:30 at the Harrison Library then they will be at the Pere Marquette Library starting at 2 on January 3. 


Harrison Chamber of Commerce
is looking for someone to design their logo for the Frost Bite 2020 Winter Festival. The logo must have a polar bear in the design as well as red, white and blue. Submission is due to the Harrison Chamber by January 3 located at 809 First Street, Harrison. Contact the Harrison Chamber for more information. 

Art Reach in Mt Pleasant 
Also every Sunday until December 23 from 2-3,  Art Reach is offering free kids crafts.  

Clare City Parks and Recreation
Will be holding a mini-dance workshop on January 11. This will be held in the basement of the Pere Marquette Library starting at 10:30. There will also be crafts. Contact Joy at 989.386.9541 if you have questions. 

Fundamentals of Drawing
Will be held starting January 9-March 12. This 8 week course will be held from 6-8 at Art Reach in Mt Pleasant. In this course, you will learn the basic drawing skills. Contact Art Reach to register. 

Clare Area Chamber of Commerce

is looking for vendors for their St Patrick's Day craft show. It will be held on March 14 at the Clare Primary School. Over 1/2 of the slots are full. Call 989.386.2442 to reserve your spot. 

Book Club at Pere Marquette Library

January: Killers of the Flower Moon is a non-fiction book by David Grann. 

Midland Center for the Arts
Blue Man Group will be performing at the Midland Center for the Arts February 22-23, 2020. Call 989.631.8250 to get your tickets for either event.
