Other upcoming performances

Dear colleagues!

Wishing you the most wonderful holiday season, surrounded by friends and loved ones! Let the next year bring you much joy, peace, happiness, and artistic inspiration!

I am very excited to share with you a few updates and news bits for this month. I just finished (yesterday) a new music video featuring a rare sneak peak into Aaron Copland's National Historic Landmark home in Cortlandt Manor, NY, now an inspiration to so many composers who create their works there. This video shows a glimpse of the magic of Copland House, put into music by the wonderful Hannah Lash in her piece "Give Me Your Songs", written for my album The Poetry of Places, which was just nominated for two 2020 GRAMMY Awards®, in Best Classical Compendium and Producer of the Year, Classical categories. I hope you enjoy this video! For more insight into the piece, check out the program note by Hannah Lash in the YouTube description. This complete piece will also be broadcast tonight at 9:39 pm Eastern Time on WCPE Classical Station in North Carolina (other radio broadcasts are listed here).

I am also thrilled to be back to practicing and will soon be performing and recording again, after a 5 months break due to traumatic brain injury. I was invited to perform at The Soirée on Jan. 24, during GRAMMY® weekend. This event will include performances, interviews, great food, and much more! Performers will include Jon Samson, currently nominated for Best Children's Album GRAMMY Award® for his CD "Ageless Songs for the Child Archetype", and other wonderful artists of many genres. I will perform works by Alexander Scriabin and José Serebrier. Tickets and other info is found here.
On Jan. 30 I am excited to premiere a new major song cycle A Chaos of Light and Motion by composer Jack Van Zandt (who also wrote Si An Bhru for my The Poetry of Places CD) with wonderful artists Stacey Fraser, soprano, Sara Andon, flute, Cynthia Fogg, viola, Alison Bjorkedal, harp, Alastair Edmonstone, piano, Cory Hills and Yuri Inoo, percussion, and Ruth Charloff, conductor at CSU San Bernardino. This concert will also feature works by Richard Cornell, Tom Flaherty, and Marjorie Merryman (performed by the artists above, as well as Aron Kallay and Anne Harley), and the Piano Sonata by José Serebrier (performed by me).

Hoping to see you soon and my very best wishes for the holidays!
