Dear New City South family,

So much of our church life happens in the building the Lord has provided for us at 3502 Grace Ave. It’s a gift to celebrate and steward.

Over the weekend we learned that chronic leaks that we have experienced in the front (west side) of the building are due to a roof that is deteriorating (screws becoming dislodged and breaking through the roof).

The ultimate way to fix this problem is to replace this front/lower roof.

We are bringing this to your attention with the hope that you would prayerfully consider if you are able to give a special year-end gift to a designated “roof fund.” We anticipate that the cost will be between $15,000 and $20,000. A new roof should last for 15 to 20 years.

Even as you consider giving, we also would ask that this not redirect any giving that you were already planning on for the general church budget.

Time and time again we have seen the Lord’s provision for this church. We trust there is more of that ahead.  We are expressing this need to see if the Lord could be calling you to respond.

Gifts given to this fund could free the regular church budget from having to accommodate this repair next year.
