Happy 2020!
Here’s to another 12 months of great books that will ease the pain of existence in such crazy times we are living in 🍸
To start the year I decided to do something different and recommend a book that is part of a trilogy but it’s not the first book in it. So if you are intrigued by this month’s recommendation you’ll need to read the first book in the trilogy. But you will love it, I promise!
This month I bring to you “Transit”, by Rachel Cusk. I don’t want to give too much away because it’s the middle in a three-part story, but the title is self-explanatory. In this book we follow Faye, the protagonist, going through a period of transition in her life.
I fell in love with Cusk’s writing when I read the first book in the instalment, “Outline”. Her writing felt honest and fresh. Something different that I hadn’t really read anywhere else before. So, if you haven’t read anything by her before, do yourself a favour and read the entire trilogy.
Maybe a good way to start off the year?
