  • HeadStart Learning 2020: the Why, How and What of resilience in children and young people. The Evidence Based Practice Unit, The National Lottery Community Fund and young people from HeadStart warmly invite you to join this conference, to explore learning from the HeadStart programme over the last three years. HeadStart is a programme set up by The National Lottery Community Fund which aims to test new ways to improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 10 to 16, and prevent serious mental health issues from developing.

Young people are at the heart of the planning and delivery of the conference. Young people have chosen three key themes emerging from the national learning from HeadStart which we will explore at the conference. The day will involve brief keynote talks, interactive table discussions in mixed groups of researchers, young people and professionals, and a panel.

The conference is free to attend and refreshments will be provided. It will take place on 5th February 2020 at Friends House in London. Booking is essential – for more information and to register, please visit our booking page.
