Passion, belief, and the desire to achieve great things have always been at the heart of the College of Europe. Created in 1949, in the wake of the Second World War, we have an exceptional history and are the world’s first institute of postgraduate studies and training in European affairs.

Originally a radical initiative, backed by influential thought leaders such as Salvador de Madariaga and Sir Winston Churchill, the College is a place for students who believe wholeheartedly in everything that an integrated Europe stands for, and who want to defend the value system that it represents.
