Press Conference Following Today's BCRW Meeting

Immediately following the BCRW meeting Tuesday (around  1:30), we’ll hold a press conference detailing our intent to fight against the 2020 recreational marijuana ballot initiative. Please stay for that if you can. We'll give the press and also attendees a chance to ask questions.

The marijuana industry has put Arkansas voters in its crosshairs. They have flooded our state with petition holders who get paid by the signature to put this on the 2020 ballot.

Honoring our tradition of being the boots on the ground during campaign season for our Republican candidates, we will also take this voter engagement a step further to fight the recreational marijuana ballot initiative.

Don't be fooled: this isn't the marijuana of your grandfather's generation. It has been hybridized and is more addictive and harmful. The marijuana industry has taken careful notes of the tobacco industry (aka Big Tobacco) and the pharmaceuticals industry (aka Big Pharma) and learned how to create an even more powerful Big Marijuana machine. But as we've proven in Benton County, our grass roots work and sensible, fact-based, relevant conversation about these issues can fight big out-of-state money that floods into such campaigns.

We'll cover why we are getting involved, what we'll be doing, and other important details that voters need to know.
