Blessings from generous hearts

A young lady from the USA has been supporting a man who is over 90 years old now for a few years. Pastor K bring food money to him once a month, and on occasions such as this other much needed items. He comes from an upper caste family but they will not help him because he is a Christian.

Here is a note just received from Pastor K.

On Sunday morning. ..December 15th...presented a pair of clothes to the old destitute man at his poor residing place...showing the love of Christ in action...he is so thankful for this. Thank you.

News From the Field

Kenya

Today in the church at Ichuni
we came short of chairs until we brought mats for children to sit on. God's blessings were upon us.

Pakistan

We are so proud for our ALC Sunay school children program on 10th December 2019. all children were so happy to perform the Christmas drama and also sing the song for Lord Jesus Christ. We give them some gifts, including Bibles, Sunday School books, and also provide the food after service. we also pray for our all ALC Missionaries in worldwide. Merry Christmas to you all

India

Today we had our Pastors gathering in Kapileswarapuram. ..their wives also came ...together we had a Christmas celebration and prayed together...prayed for you all. ..thank you for your prayers and loving concern for these servants of God.

Ghana

Your Foreign Mission has sent Pastor Frank Famiyeh to the former Liberian Refugee camp area in Ghana to serve the changing situation of that congregation now that the camp is closed.

In December Pastor Frank will be going into the Jungles of Ghana to attempt to reach the unreached people dwelling in primitive conditions.
He will also conduct a seminar for the pastors of the churches he supervises in his local region this month.

Guatemala

Youth Weekend
We are so thankful that the ALC in Guatemala was able to have a youth weekend last week! God blessed their time together, and we pray that what they learned will have long lasting impact on their lives! Ryan R.

Youth Special Event
The youth worked hard for many months baking and selling bread to raise money for the church and for a special activity for them for Christmas time. So with that hard earned money, and a little extra donated funds, we were able to make a trip to Guatemala City and Antigua! So many fun and first time experiences for them.

I love being a part of these experiences, and watching these beautiful youth grow together and in the Lord!

The youth also took time collecting items and food to hand out and bless those that live at the dump.

South Africa

Special Sunday School Event
Thanks to the ALC National Sunday School Board!

This year through the funds we received from the ALCA [Foreign mission]. The church was able to host a Sunday school day attended by all the Sunday school groups from our different congregations both in Gauteng and North west Provinces. Funds were used to pay transport for the different groups to be able to attend the Day held at Randfontein [ Mohlakeng on the 8th December 2019. The day started from 8a.m till 5pm. 145 Children attended the Day. 8 Sunday Teachers and two Deacons attended the day. Sunday School teacher started preparation for the wonderful day from October 2019 by teaching the children Bible stories, Bible memory verses, Christmas songs and other plays. Funds were also used to provide food for the children for the day. Children had breakfast, Snacks with drinks and Lunch.

Other funds were used to buy books, materials and Bibles for Sunday teachers. and meetings.

Bibles to the Nations

Each month we attempt to distribute Bibles around the world through your donations to the Bible Fund. This month we sent Bibles to Pakistan and Kenya.

Other Highlights or Events

* This month we held 2 world wide Bible Studies online, with good attendance.

* We had a sermon to Lyberia on Skype.

* Much communication was had with our beloved friends abroad.

There are many great organizations that send Christmas giving catalogs out this time of year. This is such an incredible way to give at Christmas time! Did you know the Foreign Mission has a gift catalog, we follow up each gift with a photo and a note. You can personally see where your gift was given. You could also come with us some year to see those you blessed, should you so choose!

The Foreign Mission fully understands that nothing can be accomplished except that God through His Holy Spirit would move His children to help in their individual capacity. We certainly give all Honor, Praise, and Glory to God. Items are put here only so you can see the various ways that you can help in the Lord's Vineyard, even if you cannot leave your home! Prayer is of top importance of course!

* Pray that the thousands of people we work with worldwide, would be able to understand that we cannot afford to send each person a Christmas gift. We love them so much, but we just cannot send even a small gift of love since there are so many thousands that we know and love. Pray that they could understand this situation, and look to Jesus, the real gift of Love! Christmas is a special time to them and to us! We pray that the Light of Jesus and the real reason for Christmas would shine upon all of us!

Church building fund: We have a small specially donated church completion fund set up. So far several church roofs have been completed. The FM believes it best for the local congregations to put their own prayers, sweat, and treasure into their own church so that each congregant takes personal interest in the church. We do enjoy helping such congregations finish their building, hence the fund. We have many current needs for church buildings!

Emergency Medical Fund:

Poor Family Fund:
Help in those situations where a family is not able to educate, feed, or otherwise support their children due to death, injury, sickness, or poverty. Each situation is monitored closely.

The Bible Fund; We get many requests for Bibles. It is such a blessing to give the WORD of LIFE! Click here to donate.
