Clarification for Industrial Hemp Product Sales and Use as an Ingredient
 

On November 27th 2019, The Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division issued a "Compliance Tip" and clarification on Industrial Hemp Product sales and being utilized as an ingredient. 

Beginning July 1, 2020, Medical Marijuana Stores and Retail Marijuana Stores may sell Industrial Hemp Products to patients and consumers. Prior to sale to a patient or consumer the Store must confirm the Industrial Hemp Product has passed all required testing at a Medical Marijuana Testing Facility or Retail Marijuana Testing Facility, and that the facility transferring the Industrial Hemp Product to the Medical or Retail Marijuana Store is registered with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).

Additionally, July 1, 2020, Medical Marijuana Products Manufacturers and Retail Marijuana Products Manufacturers may use Industrial Hemp Products as an ingredient in Regulated Marijuana Concentrate and Regulated Marijuana Product only if the Industrial Hemp Product passes all mandatory testing. Additionally, any Industrial Hemp Product used as an ingredient in the manufacture of Regulated Marijuana Concentrate or Regulated Marijuana Product must be provided by someone registered with the CDPHE.

New OSHA 10 Hour General Industry - Cannabis Industry

Rocky Mountain Education Center at Red Rocks Community College has launched a new Industry-Specific OSHA Course. This a much needed course for the Cannabis Industry as a whole. The inaugural course begins January 23 - 24th 2020. Cost of Course is $50.

Here is additional content from the website: This 10-hour course will introduce students to OSHA policies, procedures, standards, and general industry safety and health principles.  The course will focus on the hazards found in various aspects of the cannabis industry in Colorado.  Topics include introduction to industrial hygiene, ergonomics, walking working surfaces, workplace violence, hazard communication, confined space and materials handling. Students completing the full 10 hour program will earn the OSHA 10 hour card for General Industry and a Rocky Mountain Education Center continuing education certificate, "Hazard Awareness for Workers in Colorado's Cannabis Industry," 1.0 CEUs.
