Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We write to you following the outcome of the general election which has left many Gypsies and Travellers feeling fearful. The government proposals to criminalise trespass continue in the consultation stage. Please share our guidance for responding with other groups and individuals who might stand with us. We will need all the friends we can get.

And yet, this is an opportunity for change as we welcome 140 new MPs to the House. As your MP takes their new position, let them know that the rights of Gypsies, Roma and Travellers are a priority in your community. Order a pledge card.

Warmest wishes,
Sarah Mann
Director

In memory of Andy Shallice
We are deeply saddened to share the news that Andy Shallice, a friend and colleague from Roma Support Group sadly passed away over the weekend. Andy was a good man who fought hard for the rights of Roma in the UK and was admired and respected by everyone at FFT. Our thoughts and love to go to all of his family and friends. Rest in peace, Andy.
Tribute from Roma Support Group.
Update from our casework:

"We made two referrals this month to the Dog's Trust HOPE project for Travellers who had dogs in need of urgent veterinary care. Both clients were extremely grateful to have been referred to this service and to know that their dogs were able to receive treatment.

We are equally pleased to hear that the dogs are feeling much better."

December in pictures
Clockwise from top: Our team (mulled wine in hand) at the FFT office Christmas light turn on; A picture from one of eight focus groups we co-ordinated for NHS England this month on reducing health inequalities for people experiencing frailty; A picture from one of our traditional craft and skill workshops, this one from our wreath making workshop in early December; The Week magazine chose us as 'charity of the week' at the beginning of the month.
With our stocking hanging up and a carrot out for the reindeer, all that's left to say is Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the whole team at Friends, Families and Travellers!
