Yet I Want Your Will

five words to hold onto when I do not like the plan

"Abba, Father," he cried out, "everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine."

Thank you so much for keeping up with us and praying for us!

Cody's flights have been going really well. Today he is practicing accuracy landings during simulated engine failures. He has been enjoying the challenge of honing his skills and the opportunity to learn from the instructors here.

The truck started making some ominous sounds this last weekend.

Cody and some of the other mechanics were able to figure out that the front driveshaft and some tie rods need to be replaced. It was going to be more than $500 just for parts, but the auto parts store gave us a discount because of an order error, so we ended up at around $495 for repairs + an alignment. We're hopeful we'll have it fixed this week.

The day we were deciding whether we could still afford the trip home for Christmas, we received a gift in the mail that covered the cost of repairs. God is so good! Thank you to those of you who were praying for this situation!

We are planning to leave for Florida on Friday. It's 3-4 days in the car and Abishai is in a stage where he really dislikes being strapped into his seat and unable to move around. It's easy to start feeling irritable on long trips with him.

Please pray for safety, for Abi to travel well, and for extra grace and kindness toward each other while we're on the road.

Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!

Cody, Beka + Abishai
