Our Rust + Restoration exhibition is coming into the home stretch – it closes at the end of next month. At the end of January we have a special presentation from our Film Team Leader. Dr Leslie Lewis will give a floor talk about the restoration work involved. Our Senior Curator Diane McAllen also wrote a blog about her experiences with the material in the show.

E pōhihia ana e mātou he rauemi mō Ngāti Porou ā te marama nei. I kimihia, i rangahaua, ā, i kitea ēnei taonga he wānanga ki te whare o Porourangi whare i Waiomatatini, he kōrero nā Toko Te Kani mō tana whānau.

We’re sharing our collection of material about Ngāti Porou. Our catalogue holds dozens of items including a wānanga at Porourangi whare at Waiomatatini and Toko Te Kani talking about his whānau. Ngā Taonga also welcomes Ngāti Porou intern Lady Pokai. She will spend ten weeks researching and cataloguing.
