Rust + Restoration – He Waikura He Whakauka

Our Rust + Restoration exhibition is coming into the home stretch – it closes at the end of next month. At the end of January we have a special presentation from our Film Team Leader. Dr Leslie Lewis will give a floor talk about the restoration work involved. Our Senior Curator Diane McAllen also wrote a blog about her experiences with the material in the show.

Have you ever explored our online catalogue? Thousands of items can be accessed for free online. The catalogue can be accessed via the magnifying glass at the top of each page on our website. We also have tips to improve your searches.

This online exhibition was part of KM130 which celebrated Katherine Mansfield's 130th birthday. Impressions of Katherine Mansfield will take you on a tour through items drawn from our audiovisual collections that shine a light on the wonderful and far-reaching legacy of Katherine Mansfield.

Tirohia a Ngāti Porou

We’re sharing our collection of material about Ngāti Porou. Our catalogue holds dozens of items including a wānanga at Porourangi whare at Waiomatatini and Toko Te Kani talking about his whānau. Ngā Taonga also welcomes Ngāti Porou intern Lady Pokai. She will spend ten weeks researching and cataloguing.
