Greetings, Pacific Northwest District Key Clubbers!

Winter Break is upon us and, as this is my last update until the new year, I hope that the remainder of your 2019 is filled with peace, joy, and love. In this update, you will find a few important messages including District Project resources and scholarship opportunities for Key Clubbers. Additionally, you still have a chance to win free registration for DCON 2020 ($275 value). All you have to do is complete the Membership Experience Survey located in the next section of this update. As a reminder, this survey is open through the end of the month.

As always, feel free to reach out to me at governor@pnwkeyclub.org if you have any questions!

For many clubs, this week is the final opportunity to discuss District Convention attendance with faculty advisors and school administrators before Winter Break. As many school districts require pre-approval for DCON attendance, please use this week to discuss a timeline for completing registration with your club's officers and advisors. This timeline should include, but is not limited to, deciding which members will attend DCON, completing approval paperwork required by your school district, collecting payment from attendees, and completing online registration, as well as any award applications as required by PNW Key Club. For any questions about the registration process, please consult a relevant school official or the “Frequently Asked Questions” section of DCON Registration Section A found at pnwkeyclub.org/dcon-2020.
With the beginning of December upon us, the District Project Committee has created two more valuable resources for the clubs in your division to gain new fundraising ideas and learn how to turn in their donations to the district.

First, the Winter Fundraising Guide contains several unique fundraising ideas clubs of any size can try and information on the sustainability of Thirst Project wells.

In addition, the Money Reconciliation Instructions go through step by step on how clubs should turn in their fundraising collections to the district. It is important that they send in the funds as soon as their events are concluded, so PNW can keep track of the amounts each month and know where we stand in terms of our overall goal.

Lastly, Thirst Project provides a thank you video for each group that funds a well in eSwatini. You can see the attachments below to view PNW Key Club’s Moyeni Region Impact Videos and Personal Stories. These videos include the beneficiaries of our district’s fundraising efforts. They’re pretty inspiring and I highly encourage you to take a look.

The Executive Committee is conducting a Membership Experience Survey from December 1st to December 30th. This biennial survey will measure the effectiveness of various aspects of the district in order to assess what steps need to be taken next. The results of this survey will be incorporated into training materials for the 2020-2021 District Board, the District's Strategic Plan, and future events or opportunities offered by PNW Key Club. Topics covered in this survey include Key Club Days, Officer Training Conferences, District Convention, Communication with the District, and Lieutenant Governor performance. One respondent will be randomly selected to win a free registration for DCON 2020. The link to the survey can be found by clicking the button below.
