Holiday schedule

Just a reminder that all Princeton Insight Meditation groups will be meeting throughout the end of year holidays. The Dharma Study Group will meet on December 22nd and 29th, and the Monday sitting group will meet on December 23rd and 30th, as usual. We will also be offering our regular monthly "Introduction to Insight Meditation" workshop at Princeton Center for Yoga & Health on Saturday, December 28th. All events are on our website calendar.

Also note that our friends at the Princeton Buddhist Meditation Group (PBMG) will have their annual Holiday Practice during the last week of the year. From Thursday December 26th through Saturday, December 28th, and on Monday, December 30th there will be silent sittings from 10:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 3:00 at Fellowship in Prayer. These include periods of sitting and walking meditation. Anyone is welcome to join for any length of time. Just remember that this practice will take place in silence, so come and go as gently as you can.

PBMG will also have their annual "Letting Go/Burning Up" ceremony on Tuesday, December 31st at noon. PBMG describes it: "This is a session in which we let go of anything we don't want to carry into the new year--old habits, sorrows, grudges, regrets, entanglements, whatever. From now through December 31st, you can write down on a piece of paper whatever you'd like to be done with and drop it in the "red bucket" in the foyer. On December 31st, after the morning meditation session, we'll burn all the things we're letting go of! You don't have to be there on the 31st to take part; just write down your items, drop them in the bin and know that we're burning them up for you on New Year's Eve."
