Introduction to Data Science with Knime
Full day session - open to all - Feb 19

Both sessions free to attend

KNIME is a free and open-source data analytics, reporting and integration platform. KNIME integrates various components for machine learning and data mining through its modular data pipelining concept. A graphical user interface and use of JDBC allows assembly of nodes blending different data sources, including preprocessing (ETL: Extraction, Transformation, Loading), for modeling, data analysis and visualization without, or with only minimal, programming.

In "Introduction to Data Science with Knime”, we explore the basics of what is required in a data science project using Knime. We will start with data access and ETL/data manipulation,  continue with the graphical exploration of data using the Javascript based nodes, to the training of a Machine Learning model. The goal is to show the different parts needed to build, apply, and deploy a predictor model. This session is open to all and is designed for those with little or no prior experience with Knime.

The  KNIME User Group meeting will be held on Tuesday February 18 from 6-8 PM at the new Lindner College of Business building.

Details and registration for both will be available in January
