Talk Teaching & launch of TDF Sandpit 


Friday 10 January (CB 3.5)
15:30 - 17:00: Join Dr Naomi Winstone, University of Surrey, at her talk:  'From Transition to Transformation: Maximising student engagement with feedback'.
 
17:00 - 18:00: Networking reception and launch of the Teaching Development Fund (TDF) Sandpit. After Naomi's talk, there will be an opportunity to network with colleagues, as well as find out more about our forthcoming TDF Sandpit and register for the event.  The Sandpit will take place on Thursday 23 January, 13:00 - 17:00.

TDF Travel Fund


The Teaching Development Fund (TDF) Travel Fund for 2019/20 is now open for applications. This Fund enables members of staff who teach and/or support student learning to attend events that support best practice in learning and teaching.

University Teaching Awards 2020 launch


We're delighted to announce that nominations for the University Teaching Awards 2020 are now open. Students and staff can nominate colleagues for seven awards.
Nominations close on Wednesday 12 February 2020.

National Teaching Fellowship scheme 2020


Here at Bath, we have a good track record of achievement in the UK's most prestigious teaching excellence award. We have a pipeline of potential applicants for the coming year but are keen to speak to individuals who are interested in making an application at some point in the future. PedR @ Bath Sandpit event

Join us at Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution (BRLSI) for an opportunity to explore pedagogical research issues and themes in greater depth with colleagues. By the end of the day, we will have: created small project teams, developed some clear research questions, and Identified goals and milestones (including potential conference outputs). Support will also be on hand to guide us on appropriate methods and sensible aspirations!  Lunch and all refreshments included.

All welcome, even if you can only make part of the day due to other commitments.

Lunchtime Hub: Supporting effective transitions

Our first CLT Lunchtime Hub for 2020 will explore factors of transition that contribute to student engagement with HE, navigate key findings from research about student belonging and transition and give participants a tangible framework for transition work within their curriculum design and/or delivery, based on Bath’s institutional approach to induction and transition. Lunch available from 12:15.
