Linking business performance to decent jobs


Dear reader,

How can private sector development interventions stimulate better quality job creation for youth? In answering this, we are sharing the first paper in the frame of the ‘Boosting decent employment for Africa’s youth’ partnership. This paper, Private sector development interventions and better-quality job creation for youth in Africa, takes stock of existing evidence on themes relevant to youth employment and provides evidence of private sector development interventions for decent job creation, as well as key policy recommendations.

Look back and watch the interview with the authors of the World Bank report Accelerating poverty reduction in Africa, which was discussed at a meeting hosted by INCLUDE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 22 November. This discussion on the World Bank report also took place in Nairobi, where the African Economic Research Consortium held their bi-annual meeting. These are the main insights from the African continent.
