If you have some spare time on your hands and love working outdoors our Nature Conservation team would really appreciate your help down at Hainault Forest. We are looking for volunteers every Friday throughout the rest of the winter.

Poetry and Art Workshops

We have a series of workshops with leading poet Chris Tutton, taking place from 16 January to 16 April at Wanstead Library. During these interactive workshops Chris will guide and help you create the perfect piece of poetry inspired by art.

Laugh-Able Comedy Night  

Join local comedian Mark Burkwood for an evening guaranteed full of belly laughs on Friday 17 January at Redbridge Central Library. Headliner Dom Mackie will also take to the stage plus other local performers. Laughter has many health benefits and to some is a form of medicine, to ensure you get a good dose, make sure you come along!

Create your Vision Board for 2020 & Beyond

Need a little direction in your life? Then we might have the answer for you. Create your own Vision Board, a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal or goals. To book onto this workshop you must be available for both sessions which take place on Saturdays 18 & 25 January from 10am to 1pm at Redbridge Central Library

Claybury Park Wassail 

Join our Nature Conservation Team on Saturday 18 January for an English tradition, visit our orchards in Claybury Woods as we celebrate the health of our trees in this beautiful park with the hope to awaken them and scare away evil spirits and ensure a good harvest for Autumn 2020. All adults will be rewarded with a glass of cider.

Chinese New Year Crafts

Bring the children along to Redbridge Libraries on Saturday 25 January for our Chinese New Year themed craft sessions as we welcome in the year of the RAT. All sessions are free. Please check age suitability for each library.

Holocaust Memorial Day

Join us at Holocaust Memorial Garden in Valentines Park for our annual memorial service on Monday 27 January from 11am to midday.
