How's your Orwellian doublespeak comprehension levels?

...doublespeak is language that deliberately obscures, disguises, distorts, or even completely reverses the meaning of words.

The people in charge of ensuring your health & safety
with regards to radiation exposure
(otherwise known as ARPANSA)
have released a very convoluted and difficult to understand statement admitting to an oversight.

It appears that the combined effect of multiple devices used in unison in any workplace has never been considered by the regulators - this is what they are referring to as "the oversight".

"Tobacco Science"
... imagine being in a room with one smoker and now imagine that same room filled with hundreds of smokers...
RF (radiation) - a potential class 2b carcenogen (like lead or tobacco)

The implications of this oversight could be:

A teacher (worker) working in a workplace called a classroom containing multiple RF (radiation) emitting devices all working concurrently.
eg. laptops, ipads, smartboards & wifi routers is not protected by any form of Standard.

It then follows that the "customers of this worker"
eg. the children/students and parents are likewise unprotected.

oversight - a mistake made because of a failure to notice something

the Commonwealth regulates RF (radiation) emitting devices at workplaces except in WA.
the Commonwealth acknowledges that these devices require regulation because of the harmful RF (radiation) emissions.
the effect of multiple RF (radiation) emitting devices in a workplace used in unison has never been considered.

...the rule of thumb appears to be that no area deemed a "workplace" is subject to radiation protection standards...

...is this well-crafted, Orwellian/ARPANSA speak "oversight" admission potentially stating that...

1. The Commonwealth has placed no limit whatsoever on a workers exposure to RF (radiation) emitting devices within the workplace?

2. That ARPANSA (the regulatory body in charge of creating safety standards) has no jurisdiction to create safety standards?

3. The standard doesn't address EMR dosage (ie. the total amount of exposure from all the devices) only the amount each device is allowed to emit?

ECSFR over the past 12 months have been engaging in written correspondence with State and Federal Agencies and politicians with regards to the following:

1. The validity of ARPANSA to regulate health for the States.

2. The validity of ARPANSA's standard as it does not address
dosage / exposure.

3. The role of the CMO (Chief Medical Officer) in the protection of Australia's workers in relation to OH&S.

4. If workers are not protected then how can children attending schools or sick people in hospitals be protected?

5. If the standard is ineffective due to an "oversight" then have ARPANSA, the telecommunications industry and ATMA (who rely upon ARPANSA's standard) unintentionally misled parliament?

Main Arm NBN Update
...even though the hideous eyesore has been erected according to NBN it will not be turned on until the middle of 2020.

Main Arm & Peachester vs NBN

A resident of Peachester on the Sunshine Coast has ended up being the first to test out the effectiveness of Raymond Broomhall's AVPO solution for stopping a tower, the same method as discussed for Main Arm. The win at Peachester sets a precedent for all other actions of this kind.

It goes before the Magistrate later this month, fingers crossed.
