Share your favorite books with #ICTEreads

New for 2020, the ICTE is excited to announce #ICTEreads! Each month, we’ll post on Facebook and Twitter asking members to share their favorite books relating to a theme. You are welcome to respond throughout the month and as many times as you would like. Think of it as a way to share and hear book talks with educators across the state.

For January’s #ICTEreads, share the best books you read over winter break. Please include #ICTEreads in your response!

NCTE News

NCTE member Elizabeth Gannon joined forces with her colleagues to start a "faculty YA book club" at her school. In this blog post, she share the results of that initiative and some of the group's favorite titles. This blog post is a part of NCTE's "Build Your Stack" initiative which focuses on helping educators build their classroom libraries and find texts that will engage and empower their students. You can find out more information here

During the month of February, we are proud to join with NCTE to celebrate the African American Read-In. In this blog post, Lisa Fink provides a list of professional texts that can assist educators as they celebrate diversity in their classrooms. In addition, a link is provided to an additional "toolkit" filled with various resources. Learn more here
