Author, teacher, and Grandview resident Terry Eisele talks about his new graphic novel series Far Tune. This compelling, coming-of-age story follows Fartun Hashi - a Somali refugee girl living in Columbus, Ohio - as she navigates the daily home and school life of a Midwestern teenager.

Acting Out the Story

Kids of all ages

Local musician Jesse Powers will teach children the essentials of acting and storytelling through theatre games and music. Hear stories and then practice retelling them with your own minds, bodies, and voices. Then act out a story of your own. Children will build their skills of focus, comprehension, body awareness, and conscious self-expression. Dress for comfort—there will be lots of movement. No registration required.
