Thank You for Contributing to the Giving Tree.  Through the Giving Tree your gifts reminded several that they are not alone especially during the Holidays.   Thank you!
Big Table: Your gifts helped remind two families that they are cared for and not alone at Christmas. One of the mothers sent us this text shortly after we had delivered the Evergreen gifts.  “We appreciate everything so much! Me and the baby are just waiting for daddy to get home so that we can open all of the gifts together!” “The gifts were totally AMAZING!  My daughter loved everything!  Thank you for all your amazing help this Christmas.” It's a privilege to partner together to offer the generosity, joy and presence of Jesus at Christmas.
Operation Nightwatch:  23,000 pairs of socks were given and 3359 meals were served in December; other donations will be given throughout the year as needed
New Horizons:  several Safeway food gift cards were given to the youth in need during the Holiday
Young life Capernaum:  Thank you for your camp scholarships
Mary's Place: "Thank you for bringing joy and magic to our families this holiday season! You truly made spirits bright by providing gifts for every single child in shelter. We had such an outpouring of love that we were able to ensure that our kids and families newly housed were able to receive gifts as well! Thanks to you, we collected over 11,000 gifts for our kids and over 6,000 gifts for parents!! Additionally, every single family received a $20 grocery voucher to Safeway for holiday groceries and treats! Thank you for bringing hope and smiles, and ensuring all of our kids had a joyous holiday! We are forever grateful to you!" There are many volunteer opportunities at Mary's Place's various locations: https://marysplaceseattle.volunteerhub.com or contact Carla Kepler.

Searching for the Perfect Pastor | Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

Our new Sunday sermon series in this New Year is entitled “Deeper in Christ and further in Mission”.  The purpose is to take a fresh look at the foundations of our faith and how we live them out as a church family.

For Covenant people, our essential beliefs and practices are summed up in what we call "Covenant Affirmations":
  • We affirm the centrality of the Word of God
  • We affirm the necessity of the new birth
  • We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church
  • We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers
  • We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit
  • We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ
We’ll be providing some explanatory materials to you throughout the series but you can also do some reading on your own at this link: https://covchurch.org/who-we-are/beliefs/affirmations/
