How to get a patient ID if you don’t know it:
We are receiving several phone calls regarding patients that have not received their ID cards or their ID numbers. They should have received one card for Rx and one card for Expansion. If they did not receive a card, they need to check with the county to make sure their address is updated and request a new card.
 
If you or your patient don’t have the ID number, you can receive it by:
  • Calling 1-877-328-7098 Enter your NPI, Enter your PIN (if you do not know your PIN, please press 0 to get routed to provider relations)
  • Calling 1-800-755-2604 Option 1, then Option 5 (this will route to Vivian’s line)
  • Email medicaidpharmacy@nd.gov
Reminder to bill current Medicaid Expansion claims to ND Medicaid (instead of Optum Rx):
Optum Rx is still getting quite a few Medicaid Expansion claims billed to them. Please verify that you are billing Medicaid Expansion patients to ND Medicaid the same way you would bill for a Traditional Medicaid patient.
