CHINESE COOKING CLASS for 5th & 6th grade kids. Students will learn how to create a menu, prepare a meal, and serve family and friends. We WILL be going off-site for a portion of the day/evening for local service projects (HFS, Vets Home) and to South St. Paul Escape Room Activity (details pending). Waivers/release forms for serving and Escape Room will be required before participating.
Theme: Escape the Room (Psalm 119:11)
Description: Temptation comes to all of us, but it doesn't have to trap us in the snare of sin. At this Youth Night (formerly lock-in) we will discover Biblical strategies for dealing with temptation we can escape before it's too late.
Luke 4:1-13 & James 1:13-18
Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. This means the foundation of our life as the people of God is built upon Him. In this series, we take a look at the teachings of Scripture that comprise the foundation of our faith and see how they center on Christ and shape our everyday lives.

The youth will be providing soup, salad and bread with free will donation going towards the July 2022 National Youth Gathering in Texas. Fight the winter cold and warm up with fellowship and some soup.
Youth Volunteers Needed:
Calling youth and families with students 5th graders and up: Please consider signing up to help with the winter soup and salad fundraiser. If you have a student presently in 5th grade he or she will be eligible to attend the 2022 National Youth Gathering to Texas. Your help and efforts now will help defray the cost three years from now. Bring soup, salad, containers, or help clean up.

ON GOING EVENTS/CLASSES
Free Baby Signing Time classes. Mom's to get together and learn how to teach their babies (0-2yrs) American Sign Language. Taught by an ASL certified instructor, Katherine Bonine. Classes begin Wednesday, December 3 from 1-1:30 . Meet in the nursery. Classes are ongoing till May. Check our website calendar for skip dates.

HOPE CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL
Our Health Consultant Jennifer Richardson (RN, BSN, PHN) came for a visit on Wednesday (12/18/2019). We feel it helpful to share with the congregation a couple things that also affect the congregation as a whole to help keep us in compliance for the preschool. 1. No Push Pins
push pins are NOT allowed on walls or bulletin boards. Please use stapler when posting things on our bulletin boards. We know people like to post community items and that is fine but please use stapler. 2. Hand sanitizer
hand sanitizer cannot be left out during the week in the fellowship hall area. 3. Outlet covers
Outlet coversmust remain on ALL outlets (since we use the sanctuary space too for chapel). If you use an outlet and remove the cover, when you are finished return the outlet cover to the wall. 4. No Lotion in Bathrooms
No lotion is allowed in bathrooms. We can have it on Sunday's but when done it must go in the cabinets out of reach of children. Staff will strive to put lotion in bathroom cabinets so if you are looking for it that is where it's stored. 5. First Aid Kit Supply Shortage
The preschool black duffle bag First aid kit which is stored in the preschool closet (room 1) should only be used in emergencies and if items are not in church first aid kit (located at the welcome center). If you do need to use items from the preschool first aid bag please let us know as we must replenish supplies to meet compliance. Note: There is a public/church use first aid kit located at the welcome center for church needs that can be used freely without concern.
