A New Year = 3 New Mindfulness Practice Videos for You!

Our students helped us create under one-minute videos of three mindfulness practices. Use them for yourself, with your children, or with your class to help get the new year started off right!

Nurture your own well-being this year

Many educators we know recommit to establishing or strengthening their own mindfulness practices in the new year.  Good for you, and good for your students! For a little support, check out the resources on our website for educators, including links to courses by Mindful Schools and a few apps we like.  The 10% Happier App and Podcast by Dan Harris offer great introductions to mindfulness as well as support as you develop your practice.  Headspace.com and Calm.com are secular, simple, step-by-step mindfulness program apps you might also want to check out - and Headspace is free for Educators!

Do you need support engaging your students in mindfulness practice? Convincing your teachers it’s worth making room for in the schedule? Why not bring a meaningful, fun, seriously engaging SEL assembly to your building! Mindful Hip-hop artist JusTme has one free slot left to visit your school in the Washington DC area on Thursday afternoon  January 30Contact us or JusTme to find out more.

Get your tickets for our 2020 Conference on Applied Mindfulness. Last year we SOLD OUT, so don't delay!  Limited scholarships are available, thanks to the generosity of Fund for the Future of Our Children.  Our Keynote Speaker will be Dr. William Blake, Director of Social and Emotional Learning at DC Public Schools, and our favorite mindful hip-hop artist JusTme will also make a special appearance. Check out the link for more information or to register:

We are so grateful to the many foundations, individual donors, and businesses that make our work possible. Our donors help us to develop the highest quality resources and keep them affordable or free for the educators, schools and families we serve.  Curious about how we put contributions to work? Have a look at our 2019 Annual Report that we recently shared with our donors.

Here's to a wonderful start to a new year and new decade!
