Christmas Blessings to you from the clergy, staff and vestry of All Saints', Harrison!
Here's the news for the week of Sunday, January 5, 2020

Message from Mother Tami

This Sunday is the 12th  (and final!) day of the Christmas Season.  Epiphany begins on Monday.  Come on Sunday and hear a sermon that invites us into the gospel of Matthew’s continuing nativity story and pick up a beautiful devotional to guide you through the weeks of Epiphany with artwork, scripture and reflections.  Also, Mother Tami will be blessing chalk for you to take home and mark your doorway with a special Epiphany blessing!

Bible Study:  Mother Tami will be leading an eight week bible study on the Gospel of Matthew on Thursday mornings from 11:00 to 12:00 at St Thomas beginning this coming Thursday, January 9th.  Our gospel lessons this coming year will be primarily from Matthew so this will be a great way to enrich your listening to scripture and sermons. Can’t make a morning class?  Let her know you’re interested as she is willing to do an evening or Sunday morning class as well if there’s enough interest.  Whether you’ve read the Bible cover to cover or have never cracked open a page, you are welcome!

Morning Prayer Officiants for 2020: On alternate Sundays when Mother Tami is not here preaching and presiding, trained lay leaders lead a Morning Prayer service based on the Morning Prayer liturgy found in the Book of Common Prayer. Morning Prayer is a worship service of music and prayer that is historic, is said daily by both individuals and communities and is still used by the Episcopal Church to gather God’s faithful in worship on Sundays.

If you are interested in learning more or would like to volunteer to be trained to lead Morning Prayer, please contact Mother Tami at: Rev.Tami.Burks@gmail.com. Morning Prayer Officiants are needed for the following Sundays in January:
January 12
January 26
