Happy New Year JP friends and supporters!
Every year at this time I find myself both excited and anxious. I love the feeling of fresh starts and new beginnings. I also know that as an agency that relies on the community to keep moving forward, that uncertainty can be a bit unnerving.
But over the past 4 years that I have been with Jeremiah’s Place, I have come into each new year and found you right there, ready to roll up your sleeves and offer your time, talents and treasures to ensure that Jeremiah’s Place remains a place of respite for those in need of support.
Our work is simple: we stand in the gap for children and families facing emergent, short-term situations without reliable and safe childcare options available. Jeremiah’s Place serves the community 24/7, FREE OF CHARGE, and without judgement.
As we start this new year, we have big plans and ultimately strive to increase our community impact by serving more children and families, by cultivating stronger provider partnerships that expand our work, as well as continuing to build sustainable revenue to support our efforts.
Our annual appeal was a huge success thanks to the generosity of our donors. We are funded by foundations, corporations, faith-based organizations, and individuals who recognize the value of providing a safe place for children, strengthening our families and ultimately helping to transform our communities.
We have supported over 943 children from 611 families since 2014 and we know there are even more families that could use Jeremiah’s Place in times of need. We have implemented new outreach efforts, expanded our registration options, and established more brand recognition to help tell our story. We are working with families to be more resilient, connected and strong. We care some really amazing children whose smiles and laughter make everything okay and whose young lives we want to positively impact.
Thank you for being on this journey with us and for believing in our mission and vision. We invite you to continue your support and look forward to sharing and celebrating our impact in the months to come.

The true impact of Jeremiah's Place is on the lives of the parents and children we serve every day. Our impact cannot be seen in statistics and graphs along. It is seen in our parents' ability to seek treatment, interview for new jobs, flee abusive situations, not miss work, and get a much needed break because Jeremiah's Place is there.
In 2020, Jeremiah's Place wants to share these stories, our 'Jere Shares', with you!
Check out our website for guest blogs written by our families, and check out our Facebook page for testimonials and quotes from our parents, children, and supporters.

If you scan the crowd for a tall man dressed as a clown making balloon animals, you know you’ve found Dr. Bob Cicco volunteering his time to bring joy to young kids and offer his support to their families. Bob is a retired peditrician from West Penn Hospital after many years of service.
Bob has shown his dedication and passion for kids and families in countless ways over the years, but for Jeremiah’s Place we have been most appreciative of his willingness to offer his time, his wisdom, and his leadership as he took over as a treasurer and the second president of the Board of Directors. Under his guidance, Jeremiah’s Place shifted to new leadership in an executive director and program manager and continued to grow and flourish. Bob’s gentleness and smile are infectious, and we join with all the families Jeremiah’s Place has served and all the staff, in thanking Bob for his years of service. - Lynne Williams, Founder
"Bob's leadership and commitment to the organization and the children and families we serve has been an inspiration." -Susie Chase, Current Board Chair
