January Spotlight Dancer
Trinity Santa Cruz!
This month, we are shining the spotlight on 15-year-old Trinity Santa Cruz! Trinity is a sophomore at Dixon High School. Her favorite part about school is being able to work together with her friends in classes.
Trinity first started dancing at Dixon Dance Studio 13 years ago in a Mommy and Me class taught by Ms. Staci. Her favorite dance memory over the years are every time she performed the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy!
When asked who her dance friends are she said, “My dance Friends are, Alyssa, Tori, Lisette, Bella Wilson, McKenzie K., Calista, Justina, Devon, Alexis, Bree, and my little dance sisters Kendall and Paige. I love them all to bits and pieces! Everyone lifts each other up and is always happy for one another.”
Ms. Morgan says, “It has been such a joy getting to know Trinity the past few years. Not only is she an exemplary student, but she is also a fantastic assistant. When she is on stage performing, her spirit is infectious and you can't help but watch her. I'm so excited to continue watching her grow as a dancer and artist.”
Trinity’s hard work and dedication landed her a spot on the LADM Junior Dance Company last year, and was chosen as LADM’s Junior Company Member of the Year this past summer! This year, she will be returning as a Senior Company Member.
When asked about her future goals, she said, “I want to be a professional commercial/concert dancer." Trinity has some amazing advice for her fellow dancers: “Whether you go on to be a dancer or other profession what you learn in dance class about team work, hard work, and discipline will help you pursue whatever it is you decide to do.” We couldn’t agree more Trinity!
Congratulations on being this month’s Spotlight Dancer!
