Hey friend!!

Happy new year! I love the start of each year. It feels like the world takes a collective deep breath and resets. Maybe that's why new year's resolutions are so popular. We all have the best intentions at the start of something new.

Sew My Style 2020 has officially launched so this coming year a lot of my content may focus on that. If you haven't already, feel free to subscribe to that newsletter to join us! It is a completely separate newsletter from this one, and comes out on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Here's the Petite Font recap for the month of December:

#SewSweaty: in contrast to the northern hemisphere, the southern hemisphere is currently experiencing summer. Join @maxcalifornia_ in figuring out what to wear and sew during the scorching summer months. Lasts until the seasons change!

#SewTwistsandTies: a casual challenge hosted by @cookinandcraftin. Make a garment with a twist or a tie in it. Runs through Jan 31.

#SewUncoventional: ready to emulate Project Runway and make a garment out of completely unconventional materials? No fabric, ribbons, or yarn allowed and only ONE closure can be used. Think you can do it? Tag @tabithasewer@lynnwardrobesews@sewingbloggers and use hashtag #sewunconventionalSee this post for more rules and the weekly schedule. Ends Jan 31.

#SMS20: the Sew My Style challenge you know and love is changing hashtags! Use #SMS20 to be found in the sea of Instagram. January’s patterns are the Rad Patterns Kortney Bodysuit and Megan Nieslsen Tania Culottes. Join the mailing list to get the patterns at a small discount.

#SewYourWardrobeBasics@seaofteal is dedicated to making more basics in 2020 and will post a monthly theme if you’re interested in joining in. Are you a blogger or on Instagram? Add your post to the link party on the 29th of each month. January’s theme is denim.
