Calvert Reconnections

Calvert Reconnections opens soon! It is the UK’s first intensive acquired brain injury rehabilitation centre combining traditional interdisciplinary clinical therapies with physical activity in the outdoors. The centre is the renovated grade II listed tithe barn at Old Windebrowe where archery used to be enjoyed for Calvert Lakes visitors. Read more about the latest venture here…

Calvert Stables celebrations and activities

It's time to enjoy a complete rest! After the Pony Club Christmas party, a festive day of playing together with local children, the ponies went on holiday - a chance for them to relax and just be a horse for a while. Accessible Yoga
As a first, we are now introducing an Accessible Yoga weekend, running 13th to 15th March. Priced at £149 per person, we are offering a 2-night stay, including a session of yoga with a local instructor and a relaxing walk in the beautiful Lake District.

Introductory Weekends
FREE Introductory Weekends are available 6-8th or 20-22nd March. These weekends are for up to 2 teachers & group leaders from organisations who haven’t visited the centre before, allowing you to sample both our facilities and fun-packed outdoor activities. The Wainwright Society
We are extremely grateful to The Wainwright Society for choosing us as the main beneficiary of funds raised by the Society in 2020.
Money will be raised from donations by Society members taking part in the annual charity 'Challenge', together with sale proceeds of the 2021 Society calendar.

Cumberland Building Society
Great to have Grant Seaton, of CBS, as an ambassador for LDCT. He has successfully organised a corporate event to raise funds and spread awareness about our work.
In 2020 he joins Team Calvert in the London Marathon.

Outdoor Abseiling
13th March - 15th March
What better place to try abseiling than in the Lake District on one of our accessible abseiling sessions?! Come and enjoy a two-night stay, priced at £129 pp. It’s the perfect abseiling taster! Check out our themed weekends!

Accessible Cycling
28th February - 1st March 2020
Join us for a two-night stay to have a go at our accessible cycling activities! The sessions which take place at Watchtree Nature Reserve are priced at £129 pp and offer the opportunity to try out cycling for all. Ask for availability.

Keswick 2 Barrow Walk
Monday 20th January 2020
Get a team of 4-12 friends, family or colleagues together to walk/and or run this challenging 40 or 21 mile route, to raise money for a worthy cause. For more information or to enter click here.

Marmalade Festival at Dalemain
Saturday 14th March 2020
We have a stand at this unique orange-themed Festival, at Dalemain, Penrith. Enjoy plenty of fun activities from marmalade-mad entertainment to singers, lectures & much more. We look forward to seeing you there!

What we do

Sanderson High School – “I have seen new friendships – it’s brilliant!”

Sanderson High School, an ASN Secondary School which serves East Kilbride and the surrounding area caters for pupils with Additional Support Needs from S1-S6. Amanda, one of the teachers and group leaders brought a group of 13-14 year olds to give them an experience away from home, with the aim to help develop their independent living skills and confidence.
