Description of Meeting:
The Arkansas Chapter of the American Choral Directors' Association is pleased to announce the call for proposals for spoken presentations at the 2020 Arkansas ACDA In-Service Professional Development Conference.
Types of Submissions Sought:
Research Paper Presentations
Description of Types of Submissions Sought:
Researchers or Practitioners are invited to submit proposals describing completed or in-progress research pertaining to social justice issues in choral music education. Researchers whose work is selected for presentation are required to (a) register for and attend the ARACDA Summer Conference, (b) give a 40 minute presentation accompanied by visual slides and handouts, followed by 10 minutes of questions.
Research Topics Sought:
Research studies which focus on 1) Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in choral music education, 2) Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, 3) Diversity in repertoire, 4) Diversity in performance practice, or a field peripherally related to aforementioned will be given highest priority. Conference attendees comprise elementary music educators, secondary and collegiate choral conductors, church and community choral directors, and pre-service teachers.

All Submission Information is provided on the ARACDA Website (aracda.org) the conference tab, then 2020 ARACDA Summer Conference. Click "submit session proposal"
Deadline for Submissions and Timeline for Acceptance of Proposals:
February 21, 2020. Notifications will be made by March 6, 2020.
