Let Students Inspire Your Resolve!
Easing their way back to the world of learning, these second graders spent time yesterday working on three kinds of New Year's resolutions. Each student made resolutions for home, for school, and a personal one that relates to every place they go. Some of the resolutions for the home include reading more, playing fewer video games, and helping with chores. The school ones include listening more to teachers, playing cooperatively with classmates, and helping to keep the classroom clean. The personal ones include being more patient and more of a risk-taker, and ensuring that trash gets thrown away.

Two Host Families Needed
For the group of Chinese exchange students arriving Friday, January 17th and staying in FC City through January 22nd, two host families are still urgently needed. Alpha Exchange is coordinating the exchange between students from GMHS and the Attached Middle School in Beijing Normal University. This is non-school sponsored program. If you can help by hosting a student, please submit this China Exchange Interest Form and choose "Just Hosting." If you have any questions, please reach out to Mason's Chinese teacher, Ms. Kao.

Floors are Rising on the New High School
A small group of administrators was able to tour the progress on the new GMHS over the break. The steel is going in, and the shape and height of the building are becoming apparent. The project is still on time and budget. If you noticed, the 2020-21 school calendar has days allocated for moving into the new building. Good things to come about a year from now!
